A college built by nurses, for the nurses of tomorrow.
ABC College of Nursing Sciences was founded in 2003 by a small trust of practising nurses and educators who believed that nursing deserved a college of its own — one that took bedside care as seriously as it took the lecture hall.
Today, our 5,000+ alumni work across India, the Gulf, the United Kingdom and North America. They are staff nurses, midwives, critical-care specialists, nurse educators and public-health officers — each carrying a ABC education into the rooms where it matters most.

“The lamp you receive at ABC is not decoration. It is a promise — to the patient you have not yet met, that you will arrive prepared, present and kind.”
When we admitted our first GNM batch of thirty students in 2003, we made a quiet promise to ourselves: that ABC would never be a college that teaches nursing only from a slide deck. Twenty-two years on, with 5,000 alumni and a high-fidelity simulation block, that promise still holds.
If you are considering nursing as a life — not just a job — I would be honoured to welcome you to our campus.
Four pathways into the nursing profession.
From a four-year B.Sc. degree to a practice-intensive diploma, every ABC programme is built on the same foundation — supervised clinical hours, simulation practice and a commitment to underserved communities.
Postgraduate specialisations available in Medical–Surgical, OBG, Paediatric, Mental Health and Community Health Nursing. View M.Sc. specialties →

The ABC Code
Compassion First
Every skill we teach is anchored in the dignity of the person being cared for. Technique without kindness is not ABC nursing.
Clinical Rigour
We hold ourselves to evidence. Every decision a ABC graduate makes must stand on a defensible clinical reason.
Service to Underserved
Our adopted rural PHCs are not optional postings; they are where our students learn that health is a right, not a privilege.
Lifelong Learning
A nurse who stops learning is a nurse who stops being safe. We expect our alumni to keep reading, questioning and certifying.
We do not teach nursing from a textbook.
A nurse who has only read about a code blue is not ready for a code blue. From the first year, ABC students are in the simulation lab and at the bedside — observed, mentored, and held to a clinical competency checklist before they progress.
1,920 supervised clinical hours
Every B.Sc. graduate completes nearly 2,000 hours of bedside practice under a registered nurse preceptor before they sit their final exam.
24 partner teaching hospitals
A 1,200-bed tertiary care centre, a dedicated maternity and child hospital, a psychiatric institute and rural PHCs across Kolar.
High-fidelity simulation, first year
Two SimMom birthing manikins, SimNewG and SimMan reproduce over 200 scenarios — from eclampsia to cardiac arrest — for safe, repeatable practice.
Rural community postings
Our adopted PHCs in Kolar are where students learn that health is a right, not a privilege. Every cohort conducts a community diagnosis.

Clinical posting · Simulation lab · Rural community camp — Kolar
Eighteen specialised labs and a campus built for nursing.
From the foundation skills lab where you take your first pulse to the high-fidelity simulation block where you run your first code — every space at ABC is purpose-built.
Foundation Skills Lab
Twenty-five bedded lab where first-year students master the bed bath, injection technique, catheterisation and asepsis before ever touching a patient.
Simulation & Critical Care Lab
High-fidelity SimMom, SimNewG and SimMan manikins reproduce over 200 clinical scenarios, from eclampsia to cardiac arrest, for safe repeated practice.
Nutrition & Biochemistry Lab
Working kitchen and assay benches where students learn therapeutic diet planning and basic biochemical investigations.
Community Health Lab
A model rural home and urban slum setup where students practise home-nursing, family assessment and bag technique before their PHC postings.
Library & E-Resources
Over 9,400 nursing titles, 38 national and international journals, and access to CINAHL, ProQuest and UpToDate through RGUHS e-consortium.
Auditorium & Seminar Halls
A 650-seat air-conditioned auditorium and three seminar halls host the lamp-lighting ceremony, guest lectures and the annual ABC Utsav.
Hostels & Mess
Separate, secure hostels for women and men with hygienic mess serving South and North Indian meals, supervised by resident wardens.
Sports & Wellness
Throwball and volleyball courts, indoor games, a meditation room and a student counsellor for mental-health support throughout the year.
ABC stays with you, long after you leave.
5,000+ alumni across India, the Gulf, the UK, Ireland and North America. These are a few of their voices.
“ABC did not just teach me nursing — it taught me to think like a nurse. The simulation drills in my third year prepared me for a code blue in my very first week of work.”
